Yes, in the beginning there were times I was stressed about money but I just kept trusting it would work out and it in fact, it DID! I didn’t really get to save along the way but when the pandemic broke out, I launched my own business guiding group trips which has allowed me to keep traveling and keep funding/saving for my future 🙂

Hi Amber,
It depends on the country! I did a lot of volunteering in exchange for room & board so no visa was required. For guiding jobs with companies like Topdeck, you can only guide in your home country. If you are under 30, some countries allow you to apply for a student visa which will let you work & stay for an extended period of time. Good luck!! 🙂

Of course, I hope you found it helpful 🙂 I definitely don’t plan super far in advance because as you travel, you’ll meet people and it changes your plans! I became super close friends with a girl at Oktoberfest and we ended up traveling to a bunch of countries together afterwards! I think it’s okay to have a rough idea of how you want to go but part of the fun of traveling is being open to new & spontaneous experiences as they come up 🙂
