Ideal job for travelers, gap year students and anyone looking to work abroad

Maybe you’re taking a gap year to travel or perhaps you just finished school and aren’t ready to join the corporate world yet. It could be that you just want to do something fun and interesting to shake up your routine. Whatever the case, if you want to come to Munich, Germany for more than just a weekend of a beer halls- get ready for a bloody good time!

Unless you are German, live locally and speak the language – you’re not going to get a job inside the beer halls. I mean, you’d be a little upset if the barmaid serving you a massive stein of German beer wasn’t actually from Germany but some American traveler right? But not to worry! There are much better places to work during the festival. You don’t even need to know a second language! Just be ready to have a good time.

Find jobs working at a festival campsite

There are loads of party campsites that pop up all over Munich during the festival that hire workers from all over!! And there are plenty of entry positions available.

Jobs range from setting up tents, bar tending, checking in guests, kitchen staff, entertainment crew, festival art crew and wide variety of other things!

Free accommodation, food and unlimited wine + beer!

It depends what position you get hired for but if you work as an entry level festival crew – you will receive accommodation, three meals served a day and unlimited access to the staff kitchen plus as much wine and beer as you can drink 24/7. Yep, you read that right. Unlimited free drinks anytime. And it costs nothing to go into the beer halls. This is easily the best way to do Oktoberfest on a budget.

But if you’d rather just go to Oktoberfest as a guest, you can use promo code thewanderlustrose to get unlimited free wine and beer!

The only actual cash you’ll make though, is by holding a position with more responsibility or getting people to book a night at the campsite with your promo code. However if you have connections to study abroad groups or are really proactive about getting the word out on social media, you can make decent money on commission. It can be an easy sell to customers because the campsites cost so much less than a hotel during high season. And after all, the Stoke campsites are twice as much fun 😉 Most people coming to Oktoberfest want to be where the best party is at anyway!

You thought the beer halls were a crazy party? It’s nothing compared to the Stoke Oktoberfest campsite.

This job is definitely not for the faint of heart.

You all live in tents. And most people stay to work for several weeks.

So picture yourself camping in Germany with thousands of travelers who all came to have a good time. Come rain, shine or cold weather, you are living out of that tent. But trust me when I say, there is never a dull moment.

Blue staff tents are located in a designated area.
This job is definitely not for everyone, I want to be clear about that!

You have to be comfortable with a very open minded, party culture. You don’t get a lot of alone time and you obviously have to be okay with camping for an extended period of time. But if you can handle that, you’ll have an absolutely unforgettable time. A lot of “stokies” say it’s the best part of their year. They go home and save up money so they can keep traveling the world with Stoke Travel

One big non stop party with Stoke Travel

In the evenings, there are DJ’s, live bands, fire dancers, shisha lounges, secret bars and endless new people to meet. And because the atmosphere is so fun, you’ll wind up with night after night of incredible memories.
