New York Ultimate Christmas
Group Trip Highlights
Christmas in New York is truly iconic. We’ve all seen the movies and heard the songs about the concrete jungle during the holidays. Something about being in NYC in December is both nostalgic (we all grew up on Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street, Elf.. etc!) and freshly exciting.
So I’d been eager to host my very own New York Christmas Spectacular group trip and I was thrilled when 15 of you joined me!
Here’s what we got up to over 4 days of holiday fun.
Join me for a group trip in 2022!
Most trips have fully sold out. Limited spots still remain on Morocco, Sail Croatia, Mount Kilimanjaro, Superior Hiking Trail & Day of the Dead in Mexico City!
Day 1
Many of the group trippers were arriving in NYC for the very first time! So after we dropped off our bags at the Pod Hotel Times Square, we jumped on a sightseeing tour bus of the city. And we arrived at the Brooklyn Bridge just in time for sunset.
Brooklyn Bridge
As we walked across the iconic bridge, I stopped people for photos along the way.
As always, I love photographing the people who come on my trips. Check out what a good lookin’ bunch in the photos below!
Once we made it back to the Times Square area, we had a quick free welcome drink at our hotel before heading to Jack Doyle’s for dinner! This Irish Pub has very festive holiday decorations.
Rockefeller Christmas Tree & Saks Fifth Ave
After dinner, we walked through Times Square at night on our way to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree. It had just been lit the night before in the annual ceremony they broadcast on TV. We also caught the Saks Fifth Ave light show which is spectacular!
Day 2
The next morning, we headed over to Radio City Music Hall for a quick photoshoot before our 11am matinee to see the Rockettes!
The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall
The Rockettes was a huge highlight of the trip for everyone.
Top of the Rock
After the show, we had a great lunch at Pig N’ Whistle before heading up to the top of the Rockefeller Center for spectacular views over New York.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Pub Crawl
After dinner nearby at Sean’s Bar, we kicked off our Ugly Christmas Sweater pub crawl in Brooklyn at the Miracle Pop Up bar!
With festive decorations everywhere and plenty of unique Christmas drinks on the menu, this place was a blast.
We ended our pub crawl along Bleecker Street.
Day 3
We began our third day with ice skating at the iconic Rockefeller Rink.
For quite a few, it was their first time ever on ice skates!

Bryant Park Winter Village
Once we were done at the Rink, we walked over to the Bryant Park Winter Village.
Given that it was a Saturday in December, the crowds were massive. But we weaved our way through the masses for lunch and several photo ops!
Dyker Heights
In the evening, we had a final group dinner at the Yardhouse. Afterwards, part of the group boarded the metro to Brooklyn to check out the massive Christmas light displays in the Dyker Heights neighborhood.
Day 4
Our final day, we went to explore Central Park. We saw the iconic Wollman Rink, Balto statue and more!

Farewell brunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner
Before we said our goodbyes, we had a farewell brunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner where the servers are all auditioning musical theater actors. So while we dined, we were serenaded show tunes from all the best hit musicals!
Thank you to all the wonderful people who joined for the weekend and made the trip so much fun. I hope I get to travel with each and everyone of you again in the future!
And a massive thank you to Emilee Elofson for helping us capture photos at Top of the Rock, the Rink & Bryant Park!
