With the travel industry turned upside from the Covid-19 pandemic, many people are at a loss for what to do with canceled trips. This new line of tours all have increased safety measures and a total itinerary that allows for proper social distancing. Now instead of just touring in a communal vehicle, you have the option of driving the literary yourself.

Exploring the Grand Canyon with Bindlestiff Tours
Bindlestiff Tours

Bindlestiff Tours provides all inclusive trips around the most epic national parks in the USA. I opted for the 3 day self driving trip around the Southwest states including Arizona, Utah and Nevada.

I did the camping option but you can also do the same itinerary with lodging instead.

Guides To Welcome You

On a regular Bindlestiff Tour, you would ride in a large passenger van throughout the duration of the trip.

But with the self driving tour option, you will be driving the tour yourself and simply meeting guides at different destinations.

For instance, when you arrive in Monument Valley, you will have a Navajo guide leading your jeep tour through the park.

Bindlestiff Tours App: Virtual Guide

While driving to the various destinations on your itinerary, the Bindlestiff Tours app will also geotrigger so you can hear information from your virtual tour guide on the app!

Use Your Own Car Or Pick Up A Rental

After flying in Las Vegas, I was able to get an affordable rental car with Budget right at the Las Vegas airport.

From there, I drove to my accommodation to get some rest before starting the tour the next day.

I met a Bindlestiff Tours guide at 7:15am at the Stratosphere then was off in my rental car towards Zion National Park.

If you enjoy driving on your own road trips, this is an excellent option.

It does make for some long drive days however, so if you have the availability I suggest adding one additional night at the Grand Canyon. Otherwise the third day is a tremendously long drive day especially if you’re a solo traveler. Then you can make your way back to Las Vegas via Route 66 on the 4th day.

It’s a jam-packed itinerary full of beautiful sights and in light of the pandemic, it’s the perfect way to travel yet still socially distance out in nature!
